Last days I find that can’t access to my local NAS-server from windows 10. I can see device on my network, but can’t access there when I clicked on the icon. Every time I got Connection error message with code 0x80070035. It was not clear to me and I tried to access the shared volume with Windows Run Command:
That action was more clear with the error warning. I got a big white popup with the text «You can’t connect to the file share because it’s not secure…». So Microsoft added more «care» about Windows users security with latest updates and turned off SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support.
And the solution of this problem was clearly simple:
Go to: Control Panel / Programs and Features / Turn Windows features on or off
Ensure the box is CHECKED for SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support. This older drive needs this box CHECKED.
Thanks D-link forum post.
